The effect of parent-adolescent relationship on adolescent¡¯s behavior problem, prosocial behavior and ego resiliency

Abstract
This study examined the effect of parent-adolescent relationship on adolescent¡¯s behavior problem, prosocial behavior and ego-resiliency. The subjects were 1208 adolescents(675 male, 533 female). The results were as followed; Female high school adolescents showed more conduct problems, when they experienced lower attachment, discipline, warmth and more relation frustration. Male adolescents showed more emotional problems when they experienced more relation frustration, intrusion and lower autonomy granting. Female high school adolescents showed more peer problems, when they experienced lower discipline, warmth and more intrusion. Male middle school adolescents showed more prosocial behaviors, when they experienced more discipline, communication and warmth, while female adolescents showed higher ego-resiliency, when they experienced more autonomy granting and lower intrusion.
